Shipping policy
At HOB Cosmetics P Ltd, we do not charge any shipping fee for orders worth more than INR 798. Any orders of value lower than 798, will automatically add a shipping fee of INR 75 per order inclusive of GST. It typically takes 2-4 business days to dispatch the goods from our warehouse and another 3-5 days for delivery of goods to your said address. However, delivery of goods is completely dependent on serviceability of the area code, serviceability of the area code due to any climatic or human interferences and without a doubt distance of your address from us. Having said that, it remains our constant endeavour to reduce the time to deliver the goods with service provided by our shipping partners. For all international orders the local custom fee applicable by your region or country is as applicable and we are a company have no liability or interference in the same.
Domestic Shipping Policy (India)
1. Order Processing
- Orders are processed within 1–2 business days after successful payment confirmation.
- Orders placed on Sundays or public holidays will be processed on the next working day.
- During festive periods, sale events, or unforeseen circumstances, processing times may be extended.
2. Delivery Timelines
Estimated delivery timelines are:
- Metro Cities: 2–5 business days
- Tier II & III Cities: 3–7 business days
- Remote Locations: 5–10 business days
Delivery timelines are estimates and may vary due to weather conditions, courier disruptions, government restrictions, natural calamities, or other circumstances beyond our control.
3. Delivery Attempts
Our courier partners generally make up to three (3) delivery attempts before marking an order as undeliverable.
A delivery attempt may fail due to:
- Customer unavailable
- Calls unanswered
- Incorrect or incomplete address
- Incorrect PIN code
- Customer refusing delivery
- Cash not available (for COD orders)
- Restricted access to the delivery location
4. Customer Responsibility
Customers are responsible for:
- Providing a complete and accurate shipping address.
- Providing a valid mobile number that remains reachable.
- Answering courier calls or messages during the delivery period.
- Ensuring someone is available to receive the parcel.
Failure to do so may result in delivery failure or Return to Origin (RTO).
5. Re-dispatch Charges
If an order is returned to House of Beauty India because:
- the customer did not answer delivery calls,
- the customer was unavailable after three delivery attempts,
- the delivery address was incorrect or incomplete,
- the order was refused without a valid reason,
the order will be treated as an RTO (Return to Origin).
If the customer wishes to have the order shipped again:
- A re-dispatch fee of ₹100- ₹250 will be payable before the order is re-shipped depending on distance.
- The re-dispatch fee covers courier and handling charges only.
- The order will be re-dispatched only after the fee has been successfully paid.
6. Return to Origin (RTO)
Orders returned to us due to customer-related reasons are considered RTO orders.
Examples include:
- Customer unavailable
- Customer unreachable
- Delivery refused
- Incorrect address
- Invalid contact number
- Failure to respond to courier communications
House of Beauty India reserves the right to cancel future Cash on Delivery (COD) orders from customers with repeated RTO history.
7. Cash on Delivery (COD)
For COD orders:
- Please keep the exact amount ready whenever possible.
- If a COD order is refused without a genuine reason, future COD purchases may be restricted.
- Repeated COD refusals may require future orders to be prepaid.
8. Shipping Charges
Shipping charges (if applicable) are displayed during checkout.
Shipping charges are non-refundable once the order has been dispatched.
9. Change of Address
Requests to modify the shipping address can only be accommodated before the order is dispatched.
Once dispatched, address modifications cannot be guaranteed.
10. Damaged or Tampered Packages
If the parcel appears:
- damaged,
- tampered,
- opened,
please refuse delivery or record a video before opening the package and contact us within 8 hours of delivery with photographs and an unboxing video with the courier partner or delivery agent in the video (open in his presence as soon as your receive delivery)
Claims made after this period may not be accepted.
11. Lost Shipments
If a shipment is confirmed as lost by our courier partner, House of Beauty India will arrange either:
- a replacement (subject to stock availability), or
- a store credit, at our discretion.
12. Force Majeure
House of Beauty India shall not be liable for delays caused by:
- floods,
- natural disasters,
- strikes,
- lockdowns,
- civil unrest,
- government orders,
- transportation disruptions,
- courier operational issues,
- or other events beyond our reasonable control.
13. Acceptance of Shipping Policy
By placing an order on our website, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to this Shipping Policy.
International Shipping Policy
1. Shipping Coverage
House of Beauty India ships to most countries worldwide, including the United States, United Kingdom, European Union, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, the Middle East, and Asia.
Shipping availability may change based on courier services, customs regulations, sanctions, or local import restrictions.
2. Importer Responsibility
By placing an international order, you acknowledge and agree that you are the Importer of Record for your shipment.
As the importer, you are solely responsible for:
- Ensuring the products can legally be imported into your country.
- Compliance with all local import laws and regulations.
- Any import permits, registrations, approvals, or documentation required by your country.
- Payment of customs duties, VAT/GST, import taxes, brokerage charges, storage charges, inspection fees, or any other government-imposed charges.
- Communicating directly with customs authorities if additional information is requested.
House of Beauty India cannot guarantee customs clearance in any country.
3. Customs Clearance
Every country has different customs regulations.
Customs authorities may:
- Inspect shipments.
- Request additional documentation.
- Delay clearance.
- Levy additional duties or taxes.
- Refuse entry.
- Destroy goods where permitted under local law.
These actions are outside the control of House of Beauty India.
We are unable to influence or override customs decisions.
4. Product Classification
House of Beauty products are sold as cosmetic, beauty, wellness, or personal care products.
Product classification for customs or regulatory purposes is determined solely by the importing country’s authorities.
House of Beauty India cannot guarantee how customs authorities will classify any shipment.
5. Shipping Commitment
Our responsibility ends once the shipment has been:
- Properly packed,
- Handed over to the courier,
- Exported from India, and
- Tracking information has been provided.
We will reasonably assist customers by communicating with our courier partner if customs requests additional shipment information.
However, customs clearance remains the responsibility of the importer.
6. International Returns
Due to customs regulations and international shipping restrictions:
- International orders cannot be returned to India unless expressly accepted by House of Beauty India.
- Refused or abandoned shipments generally cannot be redirected or re-imported into India.
- Where customs authorities destroy or confiscate a shipment, House of Beauty India has no control over that process.
7. Refund Policy for International Orders
All international orders are considered final sale once dispatched.
Accordingly:
- No refunds will be issued for shipments delayed, refused, confiscated, destroyed, abandoned, or returned by customs or other government authorities.
- Shipping charges, customs duties, VAT/GST, brokerage fees, and import taxes are non-refundable.
- Refunds will only be considered where required by applicable law or where House of Beauty India determines, at its sole discretion, that a refund is appropriate.
8. Incorrect Address
Customers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate shipping address.
Orders returned due to an incorrect address, refusal to accept delivery, or failure to complete customs formalities are not eligible for refund.
9. Delivery Time
International delivery times are estimates only.
Delays caused by:
- Customs inspections,
- Public holidays,
- Weather,
- Airline disruptions,
- Government agencies,
- Security checks,
are beyond our control.
10. Regulatory Compliance
Customers are responsible for determining whether products comply with the laws of their country before placing an order.
House of Beauty India does not guarantee that every product is eligible for import into every jurisdiction.
11. Assistance
If customs requests additional shipment information, customers should notify us promptly.
Where reasonably possible, we will cooperate with our courier partner to provide supporting commercial documentation to facilitate customs clearance.
12. Acceptance of Terms
By placing an international order with House of Beauty India, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to this International Shipping Policy and accept responsibility for compliance with the import requirements of your destination country.
